Question Authority....or you'll end up on the wrong train haha

Today was a very very long day. We had to wake up at six in the morning yet again to catch our train out to Hardwick and Haddon Hall. It was a two hours long train ride though so we were able to sleep and relax on our way there. I love getting out of London and seeing the smaller towns on the outskirts of the city. It reminds me a lot of Wisconsin with the rolling hills, cows, and trees for miles#:) The two places we went to today were incredible. Haddon Hall is an English estate that dates back to the Norman times. The grounds and gardens around it were just as beautiful as the building. Hardwick Hall was another estate from the 1500s. I took loads of pictures so hopefully I'll have them up so you can see just how incredible these places really are. The best part of the day was when we jumped on the train to head home after such a long day of walking and finding out an hour or so in that we were on the wrong train!! We had to ride the train for another hour to the next stop, then get on the right train back home. We ended up riding the train for 5 hours when it should have only taken us two. It was pretty funny actually...we had to get lost in England at some point on this trip right?

21st Birthday in London!...could it get any better?

I never thought in a million years I'd be spending my birthday in England! What an amazing day! We woke up at six in the morning and caught a 2 hour long train ride out to a small rural town called Salisbury. We went to the Wilton House and the Salisbury Cathedral. The tour through the Cathedral was incredible. We climbed up some 400 spiral stairs to the spire and bell tower. We even got to sit in the bell room as it rung at 6 pm! Afterwards we all ate at an Italian restaurant and everyone surprised me with cake, ice cream and a card that they all signed while they sang happy birthday to me. It was really nice. I also tried some beer imported from Italy :) I'm 21! haha We have been going, going, going none stop from 6 in the morning til around 11 o'clock at night for the past few days so I haven't been able to get on the Internet much. My pictures will be up soon! Everything, including the Internet here is very expensive..One pound here is two dollars so the cost is double.
