Thursday, June 14th: Cambridge

Today we went to Cambridge! It's a college town that has been around for seven centuries and I'm pretty sure it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen! I'm honestly contemplating on getting Master's there :) ..haha I wish. Our tour guide, Sally, was a cute elder lady who took us around and told us the history of the town and also a few stories of her own. Kings College Chapel was my favorite of the buildings that we visited. The flying buttresses, stained glass windows and fan vaulting where unbelievable. I really enjoy having tour guides take us around and tell us more about the places we are visiting rather than just walking through. Personally, I think everything has a story of its own and I want to learn as much as I can! The best part of the day was when we punted down the Cam river! It's a hundred year old activity that's done here in England and is much like rowing. It was so much fun! We floated down the river and learned more about the old buildings and bridges and what they were used for. We also got some great pictures :)
