SCOTLAND! : Saturday June 16th, 2007

Thirteen of us got together and decided to spend our free weekend in Scotland! We caught our train at 6 am and it took us about 6 hours to get to Edinburgh. I don't mind the train at all...we spend the time socializing with the locals, listen to our ipods, work on our sketches, catching up on sleep and goofing off :) I like seeing all the small towns that we pass through. The rural side of Europe is much like the Midwest back home. When we got to Edinburgh it was very rainy and windy, which is pretty much how I envisioned Scotland to be. We hike this trail that went straight up the hillside to the Edinburgh Castle. The Castle has over one thousand years of history, dating back to 850 BC! It was incredible. The entire city was beautiful! The locals were very friendly and funny! There were also guys dressed in Scottish attire and playing bagpipes everywhere we went! It was such a great day. All I could keep telling myself was I'M IN SCOTLAND! :)
